This evening we went to the wine tasting event at our local Olive Garden here in Amarillo. It was so nice to be greeted by pleasant and inviting staff. The bar was set up and looked very nice. They had wine glasses out with the various bottles lined up. Then towards the middle of the bar they had some bruschetta, some cheese and olives and these amazing little cups with a variety decadent desserts. We were given a little pamphlet with the wines we were going to be sampling and some great ways to truly enjoy each wine. Then we had a wine specialist come by and give us a little tutorial on how to truly enjoy each wine to its fullest. Paring each wine with the different foods that were recommended to us was amazing. My husband and I did not know exactly how to sample wine and truly enjoy it, until this evening. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the wine samples were very good. We both really enjoyed the new wines we were introduced to and we really enjoyed the education we got on the wine as well! We sampled 5 different wines this evening. They were the Nero d’Avola, which is a red wine, the Pinot Grigio, which is a white wine, the Fiano, which is a white wine, the Sangiovese-Syrah, which is a red wine and my favorite out of the 5 the Moscato, which is a white wine. We were given a couple complimentary wine glasses before leaving the wine tasting, which was very nice. After our wine tasting we went on to dinner. And dinner at Olive Garden was wonderful as always. If you did not attend this evenings wine tasting at the Amarillo Olive Garden or at your local Olive Garden, dont worry, there are more events scheduled.
