It is hard to believe that just in a little over a month, Halloween will be here. Like many others who see Halloween as the beginning of the holiday season, I get excited. I enjoy finding those costumes for the kids, the ones they find as a must have, to dress up with and wear for all of the Halloween parties and the big night of Trick or Treating! Recently we were sent a costume to review from the wonderful people at Halloween Adventure.
With Estrella, well, I have only had a few short years when she was little, where I could dress her up in the cute and girly princess costumes, but once she was old enough to decide on what she wanted, I realized that she enjoys taking advantage of this particular holiday, to be scary. We do enjoy having a scary Halloween, so in our tradition of dressing up each year, Estrella decided she wanted to be a scary dead rag doll! So when we were sent the Rag Doll Girl costume from Halloween Adventure to review, we knew we had found the costume for Estrella this year!
With this costume, as with previous years costumes, Estrella will get into character, and become the dead rag doll girl that she visions herself being, which is what we see is one of the best parts of Halloween!
Aside from the costume shopping, the dressing up, and the scary decorations that we enjoy putting up each year, we also like to educate our kids and teach them the history of Halloween. We find that with each holiday, we do like to celebrate, but we also want our kids to know what we are celebrating, so they are knowledgeable on the history behind the holidays. So this year, as you prepare for Halloween, be sure to check out the great selection of costumes which can be found over at Halloween Adventure, and also share some of the history on the holiday with your kids!
Product received, thank you to the Costume Reviewers and Halloween Adventure for supplying me with a product for this review, all opinions are my own.
I love that you share the history behind each holiday with you kids. thats a great idea and I def want to do that with my LO
I like how you said she" gets into character" 🙂 I keep asking my hubby if we can do a family/group costume…I'm thinking Ghostbusters or Flinstones. I just have to convince him. ha.
That costume is kind of freaky! But I like it because it's unique!
she does get into character, she looks forward to Halloween so she can be scary, something she has done since she was about 4…I think it is scary as well, but then again, last year she was a zombie child in footie pajamas with a headless doll. I guess on the plus side, she does seem to get more treats for being in character as we go out trick or treating, lol
