Movies are something we all look forward to in my house. We enjoy finding those new movies that are coming to theaters, then planning which day we will go see the movie and also planning snacks we can take with us as well. Well like so many others out there, we are on the edge of our seats, counting down the days, waiting for the new Star Wars™ movie to make it to the theaters. And to help with creating a great snack to take with us to the big night as we wait in line with the other fans, we have created a Star Wars™ Movie Time Snack Mix!
To get started, we were able to head to our local Walmart where we found a great selection of the Star Wars™ Go-Gurts and the Star Wars™ General Mills Cereals.
For the Star Wars™ Go-Gurt, we were able to locate them in the dairy section, and we found the General Mills cereals with the Star Wars™ characters on them in the cereal isle.
The kids found the Star Wars™ Go-Gurts to be the perfect go to after school snack. With the pack we purchased, the kids were able to choose from two flavors which included the Watermelon Meltdown and the Strawberry Banana Burst. They also like that with their tubes, they can glow in the dark giving them a fun laser sword effect.
They also found the Star Wars™ toy that was inside the box of cereal to be a great bonus! This toy is one of 6 that we can collect and when the kids look inside the viewers they reveal a fun image from Star Wars™!
Then when it comes to creating a delicious and fun snack to make and share when we go to watch the new Star Wars™ movie, we came up with the Star Wars™ Movie Time Snack Mix!
This snack mix is both fun and tasty, and will be perfect for enjoying when we all go to wait in line to see the new Star Wars™ movie!
To create our Star Wars™ Movie Time Snack Mix, we bought a box of the Star Wars™ Honey Nut Cheerios® and a box of the Cookie Crisp (not the Family Size). To go with the cereals we bought 1 lb yogurt covered raisins, 1/2 lb dried cranberries, 1/2 lb dried figs, 1 lb sugar coated gummy bears, 1/2 lb salted cashews, and 1 cup shredded coconut. I also purchased snack sized storage bags to put the mix in.
Once we had all of the ingredients, we poured the ingredients into a large mixing bowl then mixed them together. From there we then put about 1 cup worth of the mix in each of the snack sized storage bags we bought, allowing there to be enough snack mix for everyone to enjoy when we head out to watch the new Star Wars™ movie, and also making our Star Wars™ Movie Time Snack Mix one that is really out of this world!!
So as you prepare for the big movie with your family, be sure to head to your local Walmart and pick up the Star Wars™ products from General Mills and create your own Star Wars™ Movie Time Snack Mix!
