Just as we get into the summer groove of things, we realize that the back to school shopping season is upon us. For me, I like to get a head start on things, to ensure that I not only get the kids what they need so they can head back to school prepared for the new year, but also so I can find the best products and deals out there. And to help with kicking off this years Back to School Guide over here at Mommy Katie, we were sent a Epson XP-420 to review.
With today’s technology, it never ceases to amaze me on what the kids can do and what they will need when it comes to supplies and equipment that can help with making homework easier. So when we were sent this new printer from Epson, I right away knew that it would make for a great fit for my daughter to use this coming school year.
First of all, I have to say that the set up of the Epson XP-420 was incredibly simple. I mean, I plugged it in, put some paper in, and it was ready to go. I also liked that I was able to connect it to my home WiFi, very easily as well, by being able to go into my settings on my computer and selecting the printer. Another plus when it comes to being able to print from various devices in our home, is being able to use the Epson Connect, which makes the process simple to use from any of our tablets, smartphones, or computers in my home.
Aside from the easy set up, both my daughter and I like how small this printer is, so we can place it on her desk in her room, without having to worry about it taking up a lot of space. I also like that with this printer, my daughter doesnt just get a printer that prints off the photos and documents she might need with an amazing color quality, but she can also use the scanner option it has. And when she is doing work from her tablet, we can set it to where she can scan photos in, then save them on her tablet, as well as print the items she might need off from her tablet as well.
Then when it comes to those back to school budgets we have, I like that we can purchase this amazing small in one for under $100!
In all making the Epson XP-420 Small-In-One a must have printer to add to those back to school shopping lists this year!

I need a new printer, so I should check this one out.
This sounds perfect. My last printer was big, bulky, and it started acting up whenever I tried to use it. Being able to hook the printer up to wifi would solve a lot of problems as well.
