When it comes to baby and providing the care and comfort
they need, as parents, we not only seek out the advice from others, but also
the products that can be helpful. For me, and for Heather, we have learned that
every baby is different and that there are certain brands and products that we
turn to for each of our babies. So, when we were introduced to the new Philips Avent Anti-colic bottle with AirFree vent,
we knew that it was not only a product we wanted to check out, but one that
Heather could use when caring for Zoey as well.

See like many babies,
when bottle feeding, Zoey can become fussy and irritable due to the discomfort
she might experience from the air in her belly, known as colic. Like many
parents, Heather has found that since her baby cannot voice the issue of
discomfort, she, as a parent, must find ways to relieve the gas or products
that can reduce the issue. So when we learned that this new bottle from Philips
Avent
, is designed to help baby swallow less air when drinking, we were
curious to see and learn more about how this is possible.

The first thing that
stood out to us was the AirFree vent, which can be seen inside the bottle
itself. With this feature, we noticed that when Zoey goes to drink her bottle,  the nipple fills up with the milk, and not
with extra bubbles or air! Even when she drinks at an angle, the flow stays
constant. We learned that this happens because the vent is designed to help
baby swallow less air when they are drinking by keeping the nipple full and
drawing the air away from the nipple. This allows for feeding times that
Heather enjoys with Zoey. And it’s a comfortable time for both of them.

From there, we noticed that with the nipple shape, it is
designed to create a secure latch. The ribbed texture helps to keep the nipple
from collapsing. The nipple comes in a variety of flow rates, so the bottle can
keep up with your growing baby. Then when it comes to the other features,
Heather found that the new Philips Avent Anti-colic bottle with AirFree vent is
not only very simple to clean after feedings, but that she can also mix and
match easily with other Philips Avent Anti-colic bottle sizes she has as Zoey
grows, like the larger bottles that Zoey likes and even the training cups that
she will start her on in the next year. Heather
can easily mix and match the lids and continue using the nipple. Which in all makes
the choice to add this bottle to your baby’s feedings, a choice that both you
and baby are sure to appreciate!

I only used Avent bottles with my 2 daughter when they were babies, because they are the best! I wish I had the AirFree vent, because I really think it would have helped with gas and digestion. I will keep these bottles in mind for all my pregnant friends.
