I love giving and receiving gift cards. When I am looking for a really great gift, but I am unable to find that perfect gift, I think the best to do is give a gift card. That way the recipient can get what they really want. I know my sister is one of those hard to buy for people. She is very picky, and when it comes to gift giving, she is one of the most difficult people to buy a gift for. I hate to be a detractor, but I've had terrible experiences with Plastic Jungle (as have many others on the Web). Here's my review I posted elsewhere:I was pretty disappointed by the performance of this merchant. I dutifully sent off a $25 restaurant gift card to them. I got two emails stating that my card hadn't been received and threatening to cancel my order. I called customer service, which was obviously outsourced to India. Oopsie! They DID get the card and promised payment in 5-7 days. I waited a month for an email or a letter. Nothing. I called customer service again, got cut off by an agent who said he couldn't hear me (I was calling on a landline), called again, and were told they'd look into it. The next day I got an email saying my credit code for Amazon.com was available if I logged onto the site, which I confirmed. Would it kill them to send an email? Why didn't the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd CSR make it clear the credit would be on the site? This site was too much of a PITA to ever use again.Addendum: 2 months later, they accidentally sent me SOMEONE ELSE'S $100 Neiman Marcus gift card in the mail. I'd had no other business dealing with them, and the packing slip clearly had someone else's name on it. Being a nice person, I called to let them know about their mistake. But I'm stunned that the company could be so incompetent as to do something like that. Do not do business with this company.
It's great you are giving gift cards that will in all likeliness be useless. Please check the web for all the "real people" reviews on this. Reviewers rarely do it themselves, they only write about it.
