#ParkRecLuv Get Out And Show The Love At Your Local National Parks This Month

With the summer here and those days needing to be filled with activity for the kids, we have found that taking our family to our local parks is not only a great way to spend time together and have fun, but we can also enjoy the beauty of being outdoors! We have many parks in the area we live in, from the neighborhood parks that we find our friends playing at as well, to our local Palo Duro Canyon State Park, where we can plan and entire day or even a camping trip to with our kids and go and explore all of the beauty that is not that far from home! My kids love, in fact insist that we head over to our local neighborhood parks almost daily. There, we can enjoy time on the playground and also cool off on the splash pad while playing! When we go to our local neighborhood park, my kids meet up with friends and get to enjoy the social activity as well as the physical activity that they endure while we are there.

Then, when we want to get away for the weekend, without spending extra money on travel expenses, we can take our kids to the Palo Duro Canyon, and show them all of the natural beauty that is there to see. From the natural formations in the canyon, to the walking trails where we can view and enjoy the local wildlife. With having a great state park that is not far from our home, we can take a mini vacation, without spending a lot of money on gas and lodging, and without going too far either. We can also enjoy camping with our kids on a weekend, where they can get the full experience of the beauty that this park has to offer.

Since July is National Parks Month, and the kids are home, this is the time to take advantage of the parks in your area, whether they are your neighborhood parks or the national or state parks, take the family on an adventure to either or both, and enjoy this time together before the new school year starts back up!

We do have State Park about 20 minutes from our home. We haven't been in a couple of years and it is definitely time to go back. It is great free fun and we love it.
