Pain relief without pills from Salonpas

As parents, we are used to the usual aches and pains that come with trying to keep up with hyperactive kids, while juggling everything else life throws at us. Still, it was a surprise to read that Americans as a group say that they feel aches and pains “very often” or “often”—more than people in any other country. (“America Experiences More Pain Than Other Countries,” The Atlantic, released December 2017). Leaving aside all the possible reasons for the high percentage, it seems there are a large number of people out there living with some level of pain and possibly looking for some relief. For moms who suffer from any kind of pain (arthritis, joint, muscle or nerve), a great Mother’s Day gift this (and every) year would be to get a suite of pain relief products from Salonpas®

I don’t know about you, but I tend to be careful about what kind of medicine I put into my body, and having a set of pain-relief options that go on the skin seems like a much safer option. My mother, who is in her 70’s and suffers from severe arthritis has been using Salonpas products for many years to provide her temporary pain relief. She feels she takes enough pills for her other medical conditions and loves the option of being able to skip OTC pain pills. By putting the medicine right at the site of pain, bypassing the stomach and liver, Salonpas can use less medicine to deliver an effective dose.

Salonpas is the global leading Over-the-Counter (OTC) topical analgesics patch brand and the top OTC Lidocaine pain-relieving patch in the US. The developer of the first and only FDA-approved OTC topical pain reliever, Salonpas products are used by virtually anyone who is suffering from mild to moderate pain – even celebrities.  Without being compensated, Salonpas products have been independently touted by Kris Jenner, Al Roker, Kristin Chenoweth, Angie Harmon, Erika Jayne, Nicole Eggert, and Lena Dunham to name a few!

The Salonpas suite of products is manufactured and sold by Hisamitsu Pharmaceutical Co., Inc., a 150-year old Japanese company that has operations in over 40 countries across the world. The company is large,  annual sales of over $1 BN, and is an expert in external pain relief patches. AS their flagship product, Salonpas®, is known worldwide as a pioneer in the field of transdermal patches and has been trademarked in over 100 countries.

Over the years the company has worked on creating a wide variety of products that provide relief in different situations and for varying durations. They have conveniently added an option to specify the pain type and location and come up with matching products that may work best.  Examples of the products include:

Salonpas Pain Relief Patch Large: The first and only FDA-approved OTC pain relief patch, for large coverage

Salonpas Lidocaine Pain-Relieving Gel Patch: Providing numbing, unscented max strength pain relief without a prescription

Salonpas Lidocaine Plus Pain Relieving Liquid or Cream (includes benzyl alcohol to numb nerves fast)

Salonpas Pain Relieving Patch, regular or Large

Salonpas Gel-Patch Hot: Includes menthol which starts to cool on contact, while Capsaicin (derived from chili peppers) creates a warm sensation

Salonpas Jet Spray: Providing 2 pain-fighting ingredients to freeze pain and keep it away.

Love SalonPas. Haven’t tried all the products yet. I can’t use NSAIDS because of a bleeding disorder. SalonPas helps osteoarthritis.

I use Salon Pas now. They do work! The only thing that I have a complaint about is that if I accidentally leave it on too long, it takes a little bit of my skin with it. But I still use them! The benefits of using Pas outweighs the sticking.
