#NSNation #Spon #Nutrisystem Week 3: Getting Into A Routine

I have found that this journey is one that I really want, I mean I really want it. I knew I wanted to loose weight and I knew that I wanted to do this not only for myself but for my family, but what I did not know was how much I wanted it. I have found the temptations around me just about everyday, from the food that we cook for the kids and my husband to the items that look so good when we go out to the store or when I go to run errands. The thing is, I just have to think about my goal and why I am doing this, and all of that temptation seems to be something that I am able to overcome and walk away from, something I worried about when embarking on my weight loss journey. So aside from the fact that I realized that I actually do have a stronger will power than I gave myself credit for, I have also realized that in order for this to really work and for my goal to become a reality, I have to set a routine. Now I have had a routine, but it did not include daily exercise or planned out times to eat. I rarely got any exercise, unless I went out with the kids or we had something planned, and I ate when ever I felt like it, which was a lot more than I would like to admit to. So, this week, I decided that I have to put a routine into place. I have a routine that works for me and my husband for the baby and for the kids and even for the animals, but not one that either one of us have ever stuck to for ourselves. To start off, I had to sit down, and chart my day out. Then in the empty slots, put in my meals and snacks and when I will remind myself to drink water if I already have not done so. From there, I still found plenty of open slots through out my days, so I put in a walk, some aerobics and on days where the weather is not too good, I have put it down to do more indoor workouts, just whatever I can find, from my Zumba Kinect game to finding videos on YouTube. Regardless of what the weather is like, I have to get at least 30 minutes in and now that I have a schedule put in place, I believe that I will be able to make this journey and my goals all together easier and something that I can make happen! So for those of you who want to know my magic number for the week, it is 2. I lost 2 pounds, and even though that seems like a small number, I am proud of it and I aim to loose more next week! Thank you everyone for all of the kind words and all of the encouragement, the support really does help! ๐Ÿ™‚

2 more lbs is wonderful! I am just so proud of you for being such a strong person. I know how hard it is to be cooking great things for others and not giving in and wanting it for yourself as well. Keep up the great work. I really am looking forward to your weekly progress on this journey.

A routine is great for most things that are not "natural" to you Did you know that those people who weigh the least and don't have problems with their weight move a lot more. To them, moving comes naturally. For me, being a couch potato comes naturally.
