When it comes to those family movies, we enjoy finding ones that the whole family can enjoy and ones that we can add to our list of family movie night favorites. Recently I was sent such a movie when we were sent the new movie, McFarland USA on Blu-Ray to review.
In this movie, you find a group of kids, who by appearance seem like the most unlikeliest bunch to be competitors in the sport of cross country running. You find that with sheer will power and motivation, you can accomplish anything, and dreams can come true.
For me, I found this movie to be a very motivating one, showing that looks can be deceiving, and that passing judgement onto others just because they are different can prove those who judge wrong, over and over again. I also found that the drive that these kids have, is unlike any other, and seeing how they struggle, yet never give up, to find themselves on top is a reminder that if you believe in yourself and dont give up you can make those dreams and goals can be achieved. Making the movie McFarland USA one that I will not only watch over and over again with my family, but a movie I would suggest for anyone to head out and get today to bring home and watch!
