With the holidays quickly approaching and the get togethers with friends and family right around the corner, it is time to get those recipes and the gadgets you will need in the kitchen so that you can create those recipes that will blow your guests away! I am one who enjoys trying new things and changing up the menus every year. This year, with the weight I have been loosing, I am going to add some great, low calorie, healthy dishes into our menus for my entire family to enjoy. One of the things that I find to be so freaking good and a must have every year for our holiday meals is pumpkin pie. I am the type that will not just eat one or two pieces either, I find that since this is the only time of year I get my pumpkin pie, I indulge in it, and that is also part of the reason why I had to change things up. To help me out with our desserts and my love for pumpkin pie, I was sent a Cuisinart Yogurt Maker.

Now you might be thinking, how does pumpkin pie go with this yogurt maker? Well, I have decided that instead of baking a whole bunch of pumpkin pies this year, that are loaded with sugar and those calories that I nor any of my family really need, I will make some pumpkin pie yogurt parfaits! With the Cuisinart Yogurt Maker, I can make six 8 oz servings at once. I can choose to use milk or soy milk for churning into yogurt.

refrigerator until ready to eat.
*Use 8 hours as a starting point. You can

I followed the recipe minus the vanilla, but my yogurt was super thin. I fermented for 8 hours and then cooled for 12 in the machine. Was your yogurt thin (just a little thicker than milk, but not as thick as store bought yogurt)?
