When it comes to the world of technology, we find that it has advanced so much since we were kids and is continuing to advance all of the time. With that I have found that giving our kids the tools they need to help them keep up with everything that we can find in the aspects of STEM learning, will help them not only in todays world but also as they grow in the evolving world of technology. So when we were sent the Little Engineer kit along with the App for the Little Engineer Interactive Coding game for kids, we were excited to try it out! You can watch Estrella’s review on the game below.

Once we had the game downloaded we were prompted to set up our iPad on the stand that is included then place the reflector piece on the camera part of the iPad. This reflector piece is needed so the iPad can detect the pieces as you play the game. After we were all set we then went through the tutorial and watched a short video to see how the space ship crashed and how the kids could help put it back together.

I like that with each level that the kids complete, they are then challenged by the next level that offers different challenges and learning environments. The game is also set up for individual play, allowing my kids to each take on the challenges separately and at their own paces. This independent play helps to get my kids thinking independently, and as they go through their levels they can solve each of the problems by going through the steps. I also like that when they have completed the steps, if they see that the character has not gone to the finish line, they can trace their steps and find the spot that needs to be fixed which helps them to be individual problem solvers!

Then, after the kids complete the 25 levels of play they can unlock the Map Creation Mode, which allows the kids to create new maps and missions that they can have their friends and family take on and enjoy with them! Making the Little Engineer Interactive Coding Game a STEM learning set that is a great product to have in any home with kids age 4 and up to help them with growing their creativity and problem solving skills!
