With the holidays upon us, one tradition we have is including the kids when preparing meals for the family! We do include our kids at other times as well, but during the holidays they get to prepare food for the Aunts, Uncles and Grandparents, which seems to be more special to my kids! I love to try new recipes with the kids and just assist them in their cooking. We have a few kids cookbooks but I like to spice things up every once in a while. So when given the Handstand Kids Mexican Cookbook Kit, to review in my home with my kids, my daughter and I were very excited to start trying out some of the recipes! This awesome kit includes a cookbook for kids and a kids oven mitt! I think that so far our favorite recipe has been the Holy Frijoles! Bean & Cheese Burritos!! This may seem like a simple recipe and for kids its perfect. My daughter is learning to read and she loves being able to read and understand the recipes and follow them with very little help from me! She loves bean burritos and just having the book to take out and turn to the recipe makes her feel really big and special! Right now she is practicing reading and preparing the Sandwiches into Tortas recipe to make for and impress her grandparents over the holidays!! There are so many fun recipes in this book that kids can follow and make, as well as be very satisfied and proud of their accomplishments after creating a wonderful dish that everyone enjoys!!
