I received some really awesome earphones and headphones from dB Logic to review. Let me start with these awesome earphones. I have never had earphones like these before. They are so awesome, and after you put them on, it doesnt even feel like you are wearing them! The part that goes in your ear is very soft, not like those hard ear pieces that other companies make. That being said, your ears are not sore after using these. The sound quality is awesome, and it seemed as though, no matter how high I would turn up the volume, I never did get that buzzing in my ears after taking the earphones out. Nor did I get any high pitch from the noise that other earphones I have used seem to cause. I tried these against my ear buds, and there is quite a bit of difference that is noticeable! I love these new earphones!! And I know that when my daughter is listening to music, no matter how loud she turns up the music, it is not going to harm her hearing!! In-Ear Design

What is Sound Pressure

Sounds are essentially the vibration of a conductive medium (like air). The vibrations, called sound waves, can be analyzed by measuring the pressure they exert. The larger the sound wave, the greater the pressure the wave can exert on your ears. The measurement of this pressure is called sound pressure and is measure in decibels (dB). High-pressure sound waves (e.g. loud music) can damage your hearing.

What is SPL2?

SPL2 stands for “Sound Pressure Level Limiting,” the patent-pending technology from dB Logic that manipulates sound waves and selectively lowers the volume while still keeping the shape of the sound wave curve.
