In our house we enjoy family game night and find that it is a night that we all look forward to. On family game nights, we enjoy not only one anothers company, but also letting loose and having fun together. We also enjoy finding new games that can be incorporated into the mix, both the board games and the video games, and with our kids we like to play those video games that get us all up and moving! So when we were sent a LeapTV along with some fun games to review as part of our Leapfrog Moms Ambassador package this month, we were excited to check it out and add it to our list of family favorites!
For me, one of the things that stood out about the LeapTV was that it is a gaming system that is made for kids. It is made to be used by little hands and also to help encourage both critical thinking as well as physical activity. I also like that with the various games we can play, there are different challenges, which allow my kids to play starting with my preschooler on up.
The games are designed to be engaging, as well as challenging, allowing my kids to enjoy a variety of games that teach them to learn through motion. I also like that with the different games, the kids can take turns playing them, and the games adjust to the kids various levels so they remain challenging for each of the kids skill levels!
When it comes to the various modes of play, well the kids can choose to use body motion where they are put into the games and jump, hop, dance and karate chop. They can go with pointer control where they use the controller as they twist and move, or classic control where they can shake and tilt the controller during a fast paced game!
Then when the kids are ready to add new games to the mix, we can add more of the over 100 games and apps that are available to us! Making the LeapTV a great gaming console to have in the home and to use on those family game nights, as well as give as a gift this holiday season!
Product received, thank you to LeapFrog as well as the PR for supplying me with a product for this review, all opinions are my own.
This would make a great gift for some of my nieces.
My youngest nephew is 6 & I recognize a few shows that he likes in the games they have, so I bet he would like this. He definitely loves computer games!
