When it comes to doing hair, it can be a lot easier said than done. I can remember growing up, thinking that all hair was easy to maintain and do, that was until I had my daughter. My daughter is one who has thick, curly hair, and aside from the beautiful locks, she also has a sensitive head. So over the years, I have tried various tips and tricks that I have come across, to try and keep her mane tamed, without pulling on it too much when brushing.
I did a lot of braids, put it up, and kept it brushed, but as she has gotten older, she has found that she wants to be able to do more with it. Now this is where it can get tricky, especially with her hair being as thick, curly, and long as it is. On the days where she wants her hair straightened, we might find ourselves spending a couple of hours, taking on the task, first washing it, brushing it, then straightening it with a flat iron.
In this process of doing her hair, we have gone through many brushes, many of which have broken while we are in the process of using them, and tried many products.To find that the products were too greasy, or hair products that left her hair frizzy and coarse, where trying to get a brush through it was a task that neither one of us enjoyed. This has been a issue when it comes to her hair, one that we have just dealt with, until we were given the chance to review the products from Mixed Chicks.
Now my daughter is a mixed chick, being half Hispanic with some Native American in her blood, and with her hair, she has the hair I always wanted. The hair that was thick and had beautiful curly locks throughout her hair. Little did I know that with that hair that I had always thought I wanted for myself, was hair that was a lot harder to maintain than I had ever imagined, and having the products from the Mixed Chicks collection that includes the shampoo, conditioner, morning after foam and brush, has made the process of doing her hair the way she wants it done, a lot easier!
We like how soft and frizz free her hair is after using the products, and we also like how the brush we were sent, is easy to use on her hair. So there is not a fight over tangles, and she can glide it right through without breaking the brush. We also like the non greasy after look and feel the Gloss and Shining Hair Silk gives her hair. Making the products from the Mixed Chicks line, a must have on our list of hair products for keeping and maintaining the looks my daughter wants, when it comes to her thick and curly hair!
