Google Chromecast at Best Buy: Upgrade your TV

It is hard to imagine our lives without our mobile devices these days. The breadth of information, media, entertainment, and convenience they provide is almost limitless. Many of them let you make a call even, on the off chance you need to make one (does anyone still make calls these days?). In addition to battery life, the other limiting feature that bothers many of us is the screen size. The only thing more enjoyable than watching a cute cat video on your phone is watching it on a big screen TV. For those looking to stream content from any of their family’s devices on to a big-screen TV, there are few better options than Google Chromecast.

Chromecast

Google Chromecast is a small device that plugs into a TV’s HDMI port (and connected to a power source through a USB cable) and allows you to stream your favorite entertainment right from your phone. Your phone becomes a remote that you can use to watch a movie, a Youtube video, browse through photos or listen to a playlist, and all the while you can still use your phone as you normally do. We are not sure how they make it so but the streaming quality is pretty top-notch, however, it will obviously depend on your internet speed and strength of WiFi signal. This device is indeed the cable cutters dream!

Chromecast works almost all of the common streaming apps: you can enjoy TV shows, movies, videos, songs, games, sports and more from over 2000 apps like Netflix, YouTube, YouTube TV, and HBO NOW. For those who already have a Google Home (or two) around and set up, there is the option to go completely hands-free and stream content using just their voice from compatible apps.

This great device, with its multitude of features and convenience, only comes in at a budget-friendly price of $35 and can be found at your nearest Best Buy store, and would make for a perfect gift for yourself or a loved one looking to cut the cord.
