Fall is here, the month of October is upon us, and with that I find that I am ready to bring out the spooky decorations and create the fun treats that are perfect for serving at those Halloween parties! For me, I like to not only have the candies on hand for our guests and trick or treaters, but also have goody bags and other delicious treats as well. So when I was sent a great selection of spooky fun goodies from the Celebration by Frey and Sixlets line ups, I was excited to begin creating those Halloween themed goodies!
To get started, my kids and I created some fun treat bags to give out at our Halloween party this year. The first set of bags we made we added the Halloween Mix Sixlets to sandwich baggies then stapled some fun printable bag toppers to give our treat bags a festive look. We did a second set of treat bags with the Lime Green Sixlets and the little Googly Eyes Gumballs in sandwich bags that we cut in half to make smaller treat bags with. Just like we did with the larger treat bags, we stapled fun printables to the side where we had cut the bags in half to keep them from opening and to give them that festive look as well!
Along with the various varieties of Sixlets that we were sent, we also received a bag of the Witches Brew, Nerds Filled Spooky Eyes Gumballs and a bag of the Sixlets® 8-ball Tube Halloween Mix. For the Witches Brew, we found some fun cups that we decorated with printables then filled each of them with a handful of Witches Brew. For the Sixlets® 8-ball Tube Halloween Mix we made candy spiders that are sure to be a great treat for guests to enjoy! To make the spiders we used 3 of the Sixlets® 8-ball Tube Halloween Mix that we taped together to make the legs and topped each with a gumball from the Witches Brew pack to make a spider like head.
Then to help complete our spooky treat set up for Halloween, we made some Sixlets and Nerds Filled Spooky Eyes Gumballs cupcakes along with some mini cupcakes that we topped with Googly Eyes Gumballs. For the cupcakes, after using a color themed icing, we topped each of the full size cupcakes with a Nerds Filled Spooky Eyes Gumball then sprinkled the Lime Green Sixlets on as well. We also added some fun signs on our cupcakes by cutting out some themed printables and attaching them to toothpicks. For the mini cupcakes we topped each one with a Googly Eyes Gumball.
