The holidays are coming and for me I like to take advantage of this time to get a head start on the shopping and making those lists. Like many who head out to find gifts to give, I find that I have a long list of those to shop for, making it to where the variety of gifts to give can seem endless. And with that said, when it comes to shopping for the gamers and techies in my life, I like to find the latest and greatest items that they are sure to appreciate. So when we were sent the MX Silent Keyboard from Cherry to review, I was excited to have our our IT guy check it out and share his thoughts with our readers as well as add this amazing keyboard to this years holiday guide!
First off, I can describe this keyboard with one word… WOW. I have been using and fixing computers for over 35 years and this is by far the best keyboard I have ever had the pleasure to use. Generally you don’t think much about the keyboard that you might be using daily. You type, push some random buttons and you move on. But let me tell you, when using this quiet mechanical keyboard, you feel amazed with how smooth and responsive it is.
You quickly realize that the old flimsy generic plastic keyboard that comes with most systems you were using are truly junk by comparison. Making it so when you use the MX Silent Keyboard, you get spoiled and will never look at a regular keyboard the same again. You might be thinking a cheap keyboard is just fine…but let me tell you, after using this one, you will realize it’s not just fine. This is because the keyboard is an integral part of almost any computer system and after you spend 10 minutes typing or gaming with this keyboard and you will be sold. The old one simply isn’t good enough, and making to where I not highly recommend this to our readers but I will also be recommending this keyboard to my customers as well.
Some key features are:
- Full N-Key rollover–all keys are read simultaneously
- 100% anti-ghosting–no inputting errors
- Aluminum top housing with sanded finish and grease resistant coating
- Bi-color status keys
- Win-Key deactivation
- 2 double function keys
So if you are looking for that perfect gift to give the techie or gamer in your life, be sure to check out the MX Silent Keyboard from Cherry! Also, to help with the holiday shopping, the wonderful people from Cherry would like to give one of our amazing readers their own MX Silent Keyboard this year.
Product received, thank you to Cherry as well as the PR for supplying me with a product for this review, all opinions are my own.
