With 3 kids, all under the age of 10, dinning out can be a challenge. We find that taking the kids out, not only gives us a chance to enjoy a meal not served at home with the family, but it also gives my kids the chance to practice their manners. We have found that there are restaurants that are family friendly and also ones that you should probably not take young children to, so when we do come across a restaurant that is kid friendly, we mark it down for future reference. Another thing that I like to do, like for when we go out of town, is find reviews and guides that inform others on what restaurants are kid friendly in the areas we might vacation to. I also know that like many other parents out there, I am not the only one who searches for those restaurants. Recently, Restaurant.com released a great infographic for parents. I liked it for my own reference, like knowing that other parents think like I do when it comes to why we enjoy dinning out. For one, I like knowing that 74% like dinning out for the conversation. I mean, we talk at the dinner table, and it seems that when we dine out, my kids do try to be more polite and their conversations are more grown up. My kids also seem to be more daring when it comes to trying new foods, compared to what they are willing to try when I or my husband cook, and in the infographic, 54% of parents agree! The infographic I posted below is based on the answers of 988 men and women’s answers during a dinning out with kids survey.
