August is National Breastfeeding Month, and when it comes to new and expecting mothers, having the tools on hand that can help make that breastfeeding journey a little easier is important. For me, when it comes to having the tools I need when it comes to breastfeeding, I like to not only have a breast pump that provides comfort and that is effective, but I also like to have the breast care products as well as the bottles that help to make the transition from breast to bottle and back a simple one for baby. So when I was sent some of the Philips Avent products from the baby line up of natural care products, I was excited to check them out and share the selection with my readers!
When it comes to the products from Philips Avent, I can appreciate that they are designed with both mom and baby in mind. Like with the Philips Avent Double Electric Breast Pump, that provides comfort with the petal features which offer a gentle massage to help stimulate the milk production. This pump also makes the pumping process a lot easier because you can sit upright instead of slouched over when you pump and the process is a lot faster since you are comfortable and since you have the massaging petals as well. I also like that this pump is light weight, so it is easy to use in the home and even pack in the diaper bag or car when on the go.
Along with the breast pump, I found that the Breast Milk Storage Bags come in handy and attach easily to the breast pump. Once you have filled up the bags, you can mark them to date them, seal them and freeze them to use later when baby needs them! Another must have to go with the breastfeeding line up of products from the Philips Avent line is the Breastcare Essentials Pack, which offers you nursing pads, a gel pack that can help to ease any discomfort when you freeze it or warm it up, a ribbon that attaches easily to the bra so you can mark which breast you last used and a carrying bag that all of the products fit in for easy storage!
Then when it comes to feeding baby the breast milk, I like that the Philips Avent Natural line offers a great selection of bottles that come in various sizes to suit babies feeding needs. These bottles also fit on the breast pump, which can be handy especially when say daddy or any one else wants a turn at feeding baby. Another great feature that you find with the line of bottles from the Philips Avent Natural nurser bottles is that the nipples are designed to mimic the breast. This helps to make that transition from breast to bottle and back a simple one, and with the different sizes of bottles you can get different flows from the nipples to help baby with suckling and also make the transition easier so others can bond with baby during feedings.
Which in all, makes the line of products from the Philips Avent Baby line up a great selection to go with when it comes to preparing for baby and also for when celebrating National Breastfeeding Month! And to help when it comes to having the tools you need to help make your breastfeeding journey with baby easier for everyone, the wonderful people from Philips Avent would like to give one of my amazing readers their own pack of Philips Avent Baby products!
Product received, thank you to Philips Avent as well as the PR for supplying me with a product for this review, all opinions are my own.
A good feeding system.
I love the breast milk storage bags! They are great because they will flatten and not take up as much space as those that are containers.
having all the things like bouncers and boppy pillows and of course diapers and wipes and receiving blankets and burpy clothes are a big one to but taking time to prepare yourself by having things on hand that you may need like nipple creams and things like that!
I would say a breast pump, bottles, wipes, dipes, rash cream, baby blankets, and a crib would be must haves. Thanks so much for the chance!mcfallsk8er[at]aim[dot]com

Preapare for many spit ups and diaper leaks with extra clothes
Lots of receiving blankets and burp cloths
It is necessary to have a good childcare set up whether it be a nanny or daycare before having a baby.
I'd find the most important thing to have prepared is diapers, either cloth or disposables, and a system of cleaning them, or disposing them easily.
I can't find a link to follow you on NETWORKED BLOGS? Help?
