Gifts for Everyone from Hammacher Schlemmer

When it comes to finding the gifts to give over the holidays, I enjoy finding those unique and memorable ones to give. For the kids, my husband and I like to find those toys that are built to last and that remind us of the toys we enjoyed when we were younger. So when I was given the chance to review one of the gift ideas from the Hammacher Schlemmer site, I chose to review The Mack Truck with Backhoe Loader to add to our list of gifts to give this holiday season.

I found that this toy was one that really stood out for me. I say this because unlike many other toy trucks we might come across, I found that this toy truck is one that reminds me of those toys we enjoyed as kids. The ones that are made of metal, made to last, and made to be played with, even when my boys take it out into the dirt and are tough on it.

I like that with the truck, the trailer can be detached, and the backhoe can be driven off to go on the job site and get the work done as my boys see it fit! I also like that just like the big trucks and backhoes that my kids see driving around to various work sites, they can have the smaller version and play out their own construction adventures.

Then when it comes to even more of that realistic play that the boys can get when they play with this truck, I like that they can open the hood to check out the engine. Have the backhoe dig and lift dirt and whatever else they might be digging up and needing to move. Giving them a fun, realistic toy that can help to give them hours of imaginative play, and making the Mack Truck with Backhoe Loader a great gift to get the kids this holiday season!
