As we look over those gifts to get over the holidays, there can be quite a few to consider, and when it comes to the recipient, trying to find that perfect gift can be a chore. For me, I find that when it comes to shopping for my husband, it can be difficult, so when I was introduced to the Mantry, I was excited to check it out.
The Mantry is a modern mans, food of the month club, that helps by not only sending the latest and greatest foods out there on a monthly basis, but also sends the info on the foods in the crate and the uses for the foods. With the Mantry we were sent, we received some granola, chocolate, and some shortbread cookies, along with some Coffee Syrup, Sweet Georgia Soul BBQ Sauce, and some La Quercia Smoky Borsellino.
The crate we received was part of the Coffee & Smoke crate, and one of the items that really had us scratching our heads was the Dave’s All Natural Coffee Syrup. I mean, until we were sent this crate, we had never heard of Coffee Syrup, but since trying it and learning more about it, we not only found it to be a very different way to drink coffee, but we also learned that coffee syrup is something that is common in Rhode Island.
Aside from learning about coffee syrup and trying it for ourselves, we were able to check out the products in the crate and try them with suggestions that came with the crate. Like using the La Quercia Smoky Borsellino as a breakfast item, with a side of eggs! We learned that the Borsellino is just a cured ham product, and we found that we can make a great breakfast, using the Coffee Syrup as a drink, the Espresso Chip Shortbread to dunk in the coffee, along with some Borsellino and eggs! We can even choose to use the Hippie Chow Mocha Hazelnut in some yogurt along with a glass of iced coffee using the Coffee Syrup, for a great breakfast treat, then snack on the Buttermilk White Chocolate with some barbecue using the Sweet Georgia Soul sauce! In all, making the Mantry Monthly Subscription box a great, one of a kind gift to get the one of a kind guy in your life this holiday season!
