Get Premio Sausages For Dad This Fathers Day

My husband is a man who loves sausage, he loves to cook sausage not only for breakfast but also when he cooks out on the grill. He loves to give sausage a good smoked flavor, then put it on a bun, which everyone seems to enjoy as well. Recently we were sent some of the Premio Sweet Italian Sausage to review, which came in just in time for a great Fathers Day review. We love Premio Sausage which we can find at our local Sams Club, and aside from cooking it on our grill or for breakfast, we love heading over to the Premio Foods website and using some of the great recipes they have on there.

My kids and my husband love pasta dishes and such, but with me on my diet, my husband has been trying to cook healthier for the kids and himself as well. We found some great recipes that are not just focused on the pastas but ones that incorporate some great vegetables for the kids to try out. I also love that with the Premio line of Italian Sausage we can get the Chicken Sausage as well. After we got the Sweet Italian Sausage to review, we found this awesome recipe to try out for the kids, which was a hit. It is the Premio Sweet  Italian Sausage Stuffed Peppers, and I have shared the recipe below. You can find this recipe as well as many more on the Premio website, and you can find the Premio Italian Sausage‘s at your local grocery store today!

Ingredients: Serves 6
• 6 green bell peppers
• 1 lb. Premio Sweet/Mild Italian Sausage , removed from casing
• 1/2 lb. ground chicken
• 2 slices wheat bread, toasted
• 1 small onion, diced
• 1/2 small zucchini, diced
• 1 small carrot, diced
• 1/2 rib celery, diced
• 2 large eggs
• 1/3 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
• 1 Tbsp. fresh rosemary, finely chopped
• 1/2 tsp. salt
• 1/4 tsp. fresh ground pepper
How to make Premio Sweet Italian Sausage Stuffed Peppers:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Slice the top off each pepper and set aside. Clean the seeds and ribs out of each pepper and pierce the bottom with a fork. Place on a baking rack set inside a rimmed baking sheet.

Beat eggs with a fork in a large bowl. Add diced onion, zucchini, carrot and celery. Crumble toasted bread into fine crumbs or pulse in a food processor. Add to bowl, along with sausage, ground chicken, parsley, rosemary, salt and pepper. Combine everything gently with your hands.

Spoon the mixture equally into the six peppers. Bake uncovered for one hour. Remove from the oven, replace each pepper top and let sit for 10 minutes before serving.

This was not a paid post and honest/original opinions were used and they are my own. Thank you to the company and/or pr agency who supplied the product for review.
