I love being able to provide the best foods for my kids, and when it comes to Wyatt, my husband and I are the ones who are responsible for showing him how to eat healthy and make the right choices. Like our other two kids, we have started Wyatt off right, by choosing to go fresh and organic with him. We love to be able to not only serve him healthy organic foods, but we also love being able to be the ones who prepare it and serve it to him fresh. Recently I was sent a great baby food maker that is perfect for making Wyatt’s foods fresh for him! The machine is called the Freshfoods Cook-n-Blend Baby Food Maker and it is from NUK. NUK is a baby product brand that I love and trust and one that has been around since 1956, which has created products for infants and toddlers that promote safe and healthy development. Well with the Freshfoods Cook-n-Blend Baby Food Maker, I know I will be able to prepare the freshest foods for my Wyatt. The steam that is used helps preserve the vitamins and minerals that Wyatt needs for healthy growth. I can easily use this food maker by just putting the foods I want to prepare inside then setting it to blend then steam, then once it is done, it beeps and the machine stops then it is ready to serve up to my Wyatt. I can prepare up to 4 meals in the 32 ounce cooker and with the two sides in the double steamer basket I can keep items separate and cook two different items! Also, once I have served up his serving size, any amount that is left over, I can put them some of the Freshfoods Stackable Cubes and store in the fridge for a later meal! I love that there are two different texture options, so as Wyatt gets older, I can choose choose a chunky option compared to the smooth one that we use now. One thing that my husband and myself can enjoy for ourselves with this great baby food maker is the bonus smoothie blade so that we can whip up some smoothies for ourselves and the other kids as well! We have enjoyed using the Freshfoods Cook-n-Blend Baby Food Maker for Wyatt when we make his meals and we also look forward to trying some of the other items from the Freshfoods family like the Freshfoods Fill and Freeze Pops, which will be great for Wyatt and the kids to use this Summer to stay cool when we are out having fun in the sun!!
Here is a great recipe to try for baby!!
Potato, Carrot, and Sweet Corn
7 oz of water 1 medium carrot, peeled and sliced (1/2 cup) 1 small sweet potato, peeled and chopped (1 cup) 1 potato, peeled and chopped (1 1/3 cups) 1 tbsp butter (a generous knob of butter) 1 small leek, trimmed and sliced 1/2 cup canned sweet corn 1/4 cup grated Cheddar cheese (optional)
Place the carrot, sweet potato and potato in the Freshfoods™ Cook-n-Blend Baby Food Maker steam basket. Place the basket into the cooking bowl and tightly twist the lid closed. Place the cooking bowl on the base and lock into place. Unscrew the water reservoir knob at the top of the unit and fill with water to level 3. Tightly replace the knob. Press the on/off button to start cooking. The green light will come on and it will cook for approximately 17 minutes. Meanwhile, melt the butter in a saucepan and sauté the leek for about 5 minutes over a low heat until softened. Remove the basket and reserve the cooking liquid. Place the steamed vegetables directly into the cooking bowl. Add the sautéed leek, the sweet corn, the grated cheese (optional), and add 1.5 oz of the cooking liquid. To puree, turn the blender button to the desired speed depending on the texture you want

This is something I would have used when my kiss were little. How handy!
so much healthier then processed baby food!
I had seen this previously and fell in love with it. When my grandson was a baby, I'd try to make it then put in a blender on puree. This is just so nice to have. And a $20 coupon for it is also great!
This sounds really easy to make baby food in! I wish I had this when my grandsons were younger and we were having to puree everything!
I wish they had this when my kids were babies. I would have definitely used it!
