Family Friendly Dinning at the Rainforest Cafe

With the summer here and those adventures to be had, I find that aside from the activities my family and I want to experience, I also like to find those family friendly dinning options as well to add to our summer itinerary. I like to seek out restaurants that not only have an amazing menu that offers a little something for everyone to choose from, but also places that have a kid friendly environment. So when we were given the chance to head to the Rainforest Cafe in Seattle, we were excited to check it out and add it to our list of family favorites when it comes to dinning.

When we arrived, we not only found a fun shop to explore in the front, but we were greeted at the restaurant entrance by friendly staff who were ready to assist us in beginning our Rainforest Cafe adventure. Right away the kids were in awe of the animated animals throughout the restaurant, and enjoyed watching as the various animals came to life with their animal sounds and movements. We also found it to be a lot of fun to see the rainforest come to life as a storm lit up the treetops.

When looking over the menus, we all were pleasantly surprised to find a variety of dishes to choose from, both on the main menus and the kids menus, giving everyone a selection that we could all enjoy. Aside from the main menus, my husband and I found some amazing plates to choose from on the specials menu. Then for the kids when it came to ordering their plates, they liked that they could choose their dishes and sides, then get their favorite drinks served in a fun cup that included a toy in the bottom of it.

After ordering our food, we were encouraged to walk around and discover the rainforest as we waited for our meal to arrive. The kids loved this option, of being able to seek out the animals that were in the treetops above us, and also gaze upon the stars that were on the sky, giving us a tiny glimpse of the beauty that can be found in a real tropical rainforest. During our exploration, we found the shows that the animals put on to be entertaining, making the wait time on our food seem like nothing and also helping to keep the kids entertained while we waited on the food to arrive.

Once our food came to our table, everyone was very pleased with the food that we ordered. The kids enjoyed their meals and had fun eating while watching the animals and the rainforest continue to come alive. While we were eating, we noticed a cake that had been brought out to various tables for dessert, so once everyone was done eating, we decided to order a Volcano Cake as well. The kids were excited as we watched our cake being brought to our table with a sparkler on the top of it.

We all agreed that the Volcano Cake was the perfect end to an amazing meal! We also liked that with the one Volcano Cake that we ordered, we had more than enough for everyone to get their fill on the amazing dessert! Then once everyone was filled up and ready to leave, we headed out to the store in the front of the cafe, so we could pick up a few souvenirs to mark our adventure we had at the Rainforest Cafe!

In all, making the Rainforest Cafe an experience like no other, and a new favorite to add to our list of family friendly restaurants!

Thank you to Rainforest Cafe as well as the PR for facilitating myself and my family for this restaurant review, all opinions are my own.

This is the kind of place I would have loved as a kid. Heck, I still love places like this now. A gift shop, animals, and a great variety of food? You can't get anything better than that. Except for maybe a cool cup for the grownups to take home as well.
