College football season is in full swing, and to get the fans engaged, Discover has launched this years Fan Loyalty Poll! We are followers of the Big 10, and like most Sooner fans, we are waiting to be put back on that list this year, especially after that slaughter against Texas at the Red River Shoot Out. Well, to get the festivities going each week for the games, Discover has launched a Poll that college football fans can take each week on their Facebook page. This week, the people from Discover wanted to hear from the fans to find out who fans would want to have at their favorite teams games. The stats are in, and when it came to who the fans would want to sit next to at their teams home game, 53% of college football fans said that they would want to sit next to Governor Mitt Romney at their teams upcoming home game, and 42% said that they would want to sit next to President Barack Obama. But that is not all, when you break it down on the Big 10 and the PAC-12, 52 percent of the Big 10 fans would choose to sit next to President Barack Obama and with the PAC-12, 59 percent of the fans would choose to sit next to Governor Mitt Romney. Then with the polls that came in this week on who the fans would choose to have buy a round for the crowd at their teams next home game, 50 percent chose Governor Mitt Romney and only 39 percent chose President Barack Obama. After seeing the polls, I wonder if the recent debates had any influence on who fans would want to sit with at their game, or if it is just who the fans could see themselves sitting with and having a good time rooting on their home team with. Regardless on what swayed the fans to vote the way they did, the Discover polls are in, and I can not wait to see what this coming weeks poll results will be!!
This week’s fan rankings of the top college football teams are as follows:
· Alabama, 42 percent
· Oregon, 17 percent
· Florida, 5 percent
· South Carolina, 4 percent
· West Virginia, 4 percent
· Ohio State, 4 percent
· Kansas State, 2 percent
· Some other team, 10 percent
· Not sure, 8 percent
This was a paid post, I was compensated by Discover, but all opinions are my own.
That is an interesting way to do a loose pole.
Interesting poll results. I know who I'd rather sit next to but I won't advertise that!
This is interesting! Glad to see ND on the latest poll.
Hope you have a great new year.
