Dead Poets Society Blu-ray

Even though this movie was a hit back in 1989, I still find Dead Poets Society to be a favorite of mine today. Recently I was sent a Blu-Ray copy of this amazing movie to review. I love the Blu-Ray copies of movies that I remember and loved, it is like watching them all over again. I see Dead Poets Society to be one of Robin Williams most memorable roles. Watching it in HD is like no other. If you have not seen Dead Poets Society, then let me give you a little review on the movie itself. First of all I am going to say that if you have not seen it, you need to go out and get it, it is one of those movies that you just have to see. The story takes place at a prep school where the students are taught to be by the book, a very prestigious and prominent student body, where future leaders are being prepped for their future. In this coming of age story, a group of boys find themselves brought together by a professor who changes their lives forever. He brings the boys into a challenge, to seize the day or “Carpe Diem”. The boys develop a relationship with this not so mainstream professor to find their eyes opened. This is not the way of the school not the way of any of the other faculty and is looked down upon. This movie has the drama and the tragedy that make it what it is, and even if you are not watching it for the first time, you will fall in love with this amazing movie all over again. The Blu-Ray features a commentary from the director. You will also find some great uncut, deleted scenes, which I just love watching when watching classic movies that I love! You also get interviews with David Lynch and Peter Weir. Dead Poets Society is available now on Blu-Ray!!!
