The holidays are coming and that means holiday guests, parties and holiday menu planning are all in the near future. With that said, I find that along with the menu planning for the holiday meals and parties that I also like to plan for the holiday guests, and with all of the meals I find that I like to make foods that are both tasty and healthy. More times than not, when I go to make those meals and snacks for everyone, everyone seems to enjoy the fried foods, the thing is, deep fried foods are not the healthiest way to go. So when we were sent the BESTEK Non-Stick Air Fryer Cooker with Digital Control to review, I found that it was the perfect alternative to frying those foods that everyone enjoys in my home.
First off, I found this digital air fryer to be very simple to use, allowing me to begin cooking with it right away. I like the digital option of setting the temperature, then setting the cook times. I also found the manual to be helpful when it comes to setting the cook times and temperatures as I learn how to cook various foods in this air fryer. Along with the manual that is included, there is also a recipe book, giving me ideas on various foods and even dishes that the whole family can enjoy.
Then when it comes to coming up with some of those appetizers to serve guests at those holiday parties that are fried without the issue of grease or oil, I found I could create a variety of appetizers which includes some Jalapeno and Bacon Popper Wontons! The wontons are simple to put together and when cooked in the air fryer, they have a crispier take to them, making them a very tasty appetizer.
Jalapeno and Bacon Popper Wontons:
1 package of wonton wrappers
1 8oz package cream cheese
1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
2 whole freshly chopped jalapenos
1/2 pound cooked bacon, chopped
Mix the cream cheese with seasoning, bacon and jalapenos on a large bowl. Add small amount of cream cheese mix filling into wonton wrapper, seal wrapper with water. Set air fryer to highest setting and time each batch of popper wontons to 6-8 minutes until wontons are golden. Serve with a optional ranch dipping sauce and enjoy!
This recipe is one that makes for a lot of poppers which is great for making and serving guests this holiday season! And after trying different foods from appetizers to main dishes in this air fryer, I found that I could once again make those fried foods that we enjoy eating, without the oil or grease. Making the BESTEK Non-Stick Air Fryer Cooker with Digital Control a great appliance to add to any kitchen and a must have on my list when it comes to those holiday menus!
