#ComfortsFromHome The Comforts from Home Project

When I think of comfort, many things come to mind, like that pair of fuzzy slippers that help keep my feet warm on cold mornings, hearing my favorite songs play, and a good, warm dish, that fills my stomach and warms the heart! Now there are many ways to bring that comfort from food home, and one way we enjoy those home comforts is with dishes from Marie Callender’s.

From those hot pot pies that are filled with vegetables, meat, and have that amazing crust on them, to the dinners that the whole family can enjoy, we find that we can get a taste of that good old fashioned comfort food, right from our grocers freezer, when we shop the Marie Callender’s line of products. Well aside from bringing those dishes home for the family to enjoy, right now through January 31st, when you bring those delicious meals home from the Marie Callender’s line, you can also help our soldiers, by entering the code on the specially marked Marie Callender’s products.

With each code entered, Marie Callender’s will help bring comfort to our soldiers, with the Comforts From Home Project, by donating to the USO2GO, which is a USO program that brings items like electronics, books, sporting goods and more to our troops who are stationed in remote locations!

Aside from this great mission, Marie Callender’s has another mission to go along with this one, by helping to bring a soldier home, to their family, during the national television event, “A Hero’s Welcome” on Veteran’s Day, November 11, 2014! This event will air across some of those amazing networks like HGTV, Food Network, Travel Channel and more, and will be hosted by by
Robert Irvine from Restaurant Impossible, Genevieve Gorder from HGTV Design Star and Gary Sinise, award-winning actor and founder of the
Gary Sinise Foundation. This show will feature those comforts from home to our American troops, in a very special way, a way that only Marie Callender’s can! So be sure to mark your calendars and tune in on November 11, also be sure when you head out to get dinner for your family, get some products from the Marie Callender’s line, and enter the codes on the Comforts from Home Project site, so you can help bring some of those comforts from home to our soldiers!

Tune-in as Marie Callender’s, the USO and an army of experts from food, home and travel provide the comforts of home as only Marie Callender’s can, in a truly heartwarming homecoming you’ll always remember.
