Cheap Chic Weddings with Charmin

Weddings are a time where we celebrate our love for another in the presence of our family and friends. When it comes to the big day, we find that there is a lot involved in the process of bringing it all together. From the cake that will be served, the flowers that will be used, to the bridal party and the biggest part of them all the dress, we find that it can all be a little overwhelming as well as a little costly when it is all said and done. Like many, when I got married I planned my wedding on a budget. I had my cake made by a friends mom whom I grew up with who was not only a restaurant owner who made her own desserts but she also made the most amazing German Chocolate cake. A family friend owned a flower shop and helped with our flowers and decorations, and for the catering I ended up making the event a pot luck. I think the biggest expense I had was my dress, and when it came down to my dress I had a seamstress design it and create it to be the one that I had dreamed of having. I stuck to my budget and was able to pull off the wedding I had dreamed of without breaking the bank. The competition was a very close one, I mean the dresses were ones that brides would be very proud to wear as they walked down the isle, but in the end only one could be crowned a winner and the dress by Van Tran was one that was very deserving of the title!
