Celebrate Nurses Week with Pampers Swaddlers

This review was made possible by iConnect and Pampers.  I was provided compensation to facilitate this post, but all opinions stated are 100% mine.

When we prepare for a new baby, we find that there is a lot that goes along with the tasks at hand. We create registries where loved ones can refer to so we can insure we have what we might need once baby arrives. We also go to see a Dr, one who will follow us as we go through our journey into becoming mothers. And as a mom who has been there done that a few times, I have learned that when it comes to the journey of welcoming a new baby to the family, the nurses are the ones who we lean on more than they are given credit for. So when I was given the chance to join the Thank You Nurses campaign through Pampers Swaddlers, I was pleased to join in and share the messaging on the importance of nurses during prenatal, labor and delivery, and post natal care.

See with each of my babies, I saw a Dr who provided the OB care that was needed, but I found that the care that was provided to me by the nurses both at the Dr’s office and at the hospital, is the care that made a difference. I also found that when it came time to delivery, walking with the nurses, talking with them, and having them there during the delivery and post natal care, helped to ease the process and anxieties I might have had.

The nursing staff not only stayed by my side and encouraged me during my deliveries, but I can remember that after having my first baby, it was the amazing nurses who stayed to help me when it came to caring for baby, nursing baby, and ensuring me that I was doing a good job. And to help with thanking those nurses who made a difference, Pampers teamed up for the first annual Thank You Nurses campaign. They did this in partnership with the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN), to honor nurses across three award categories: Labor & delivery, NICU and Postpartum. Three nominated finalists were selected and are being honored with short documentary videos showcasing their unique and inspirational nursing stories.

The winner of this campaign is a Labor and Delivery nurse, and you can learn more about the Grand Prize #ThankYouNurses Award winner and check out her incredible story here: https://tongal.com/project/ThankYouNurses/submissions/video/coming-full-circle_2

Just like Labor & Delivery nurse, Anne Gallagher, the nurses who were there for me with my first born showed me how to care for baby. I learned how to change those little diapers and manage the umbilical care with the Pampers Swaddlers. I also found that with the Pampers Swaddlers, they are not only the #1 choice of hospitals, but they are also my #1 choice when it comes to taking care of baby. I say this because Pampers Swaddlers give baby comfort and protection with the blanket like softness, helping to give baby the best start in life. And on Wednesday May 11th from 8-9pm, you can join the #ThankYouNurses Twitter Party which will be hosted by iConnect! RSVP here: http://bit.ly/24gcaIN
