It is so true when they say that every girl can be a princess. I believe that girls should learn manners and also use those manners. Well this evening my daughter and her Girl Scout troop did that. They completed the tasks given to them from Barbie Princess Charm School at a party. I was sent an awesome kit that included the new Barbie Princess Charm School DVD, place mats, manners charts, tiaras, Certificates of Charm School Completion, stickers, thank you notes, and four Barbie Princess Charm School dolls. Not only were the girls able to complete the Barbie Princess Charm School, but they were also able to earn their Manners patches at the same time!! This was perfect for them!! We started the party and gave the girls tiaras. The leader went over manners with the girls. We did a activity where the girls tried to walk with a book balanced on their heads, then once we were done with that it was time for Barbie Princess Charm School!!
The girls then learned that the proper thing to do after receiving a gift is to write a thank you note, thanking the person who gave you the gift.
The girls also learned how to set a table and how to place their napkins on their laps when they sit down to eat. We also talked about saying please and thank you when offered something, like cookies and juice! The girls understood that we do not talk with our mouths full, and we eat with our mouths closed. To avoid making a mess, we sit up straight at the table, and we do not put our elbows on the table!
In the movie Barbie Princess Charm School, girls learn that honesty goes a long way. Showing good manners and being polite is a good quality that everyone should have. Blair is an average girl that gets the chance to be more than that. She finds a whole other part of her that she never would have found if she had not been lucky enough to go to Princess Charm School. The school is a magical place and in it Blair makes new friends and learns etiquette and finds the princess from with in so to say!! If your girls are Barbie fans and are ready to find the princess with in themselves, then keep your eyes open for the new Barbie Princess Charm School movie to hit shelves this Fall. Also go out and get Blair and her friends that are available now, then plan a Princess Charm School Party of your own!!
I was provided this party pack from the One2One Network, all opinions are my own!!
Love that you did this with her Girl Scout troop! Girl Scouts rock!
I loved that not only did the girls love the party, but they also were able to earn their Manners badge with it!
