A perfect gift for a new mom: Original Baba Slings

A mom’s life is hard. Parenthood is hard. If you are a soon-to-be parent, you have no doubt heard stories from your friends and family confirming this fact. So now it comes to registering for everything you need as a new mom. What do you need? What will make your life with a sweet little baby easier?

As a mom of three little ones, I can say with certainty that I have a good idea of what are must-haves for new moms. Take paper plates and freezer meals: trust me on this, when you are breastfeeding-new-mom hungry, nothing is better than pulling a home cooked meal out of the freezer and zapping it in the microwave. Doing dishes? Hahaha!

Some other things are maybe not as obvious, like a great quality sling. I was given one to try out from the good folks at Baba Slings, and and I love it. When you have a baby that loves being held 24/7 (and most of them do) and hoping to get anything accomplished, you have to strap on the little cutie and get going. First, grab some coffee!

This sling is very comfortable to wear. It is padded on the shoulder and the fabric is soft so your baby can snuggle right in. My two-month-old daughter has already fallen asleep in it (the ultimate test) and she uses the padded rims to cradle her head. It even has a pocket for storing your phone for easy access. You can wear the baby in five different positions, changing the position to breastfeed or face baby out to see the world. I also love that the Baba Sling has adjustable straps so it can be worn by moms of any size and it can grow with your baby.

I have used it for trips to the park so my older kids can play, and while getting things done around the house. I had my husband try it too and it is indeed great for snuggle time with dad on lazy Sunday mornings. I think my favorite thing is all the great eye contact with my little peanut while she is in it hammock style. That’s the best thing about this life. Mom life.

A few years ago I never noticed any parent carrying the baby. Today they are every where, it really must make life a lot easier.

I loved using a carrier when my kids were little. This looks like it is a lot simpler than the Moby wrap (but I loved the Moby too!)!
