12 Piece Edgekeeper® Pro Self-Sharpening Cutlery Set from Sabatier®

When it comes to the kitchen and creating those amazing recipes that I enjoy sharing with family and friends, I find that in order to achieve various cuts and such, that having the right tools is ideal. I have also found that when it comes to the knives that I use in the kitchen, that I like to ensure they are sharp, and like many, I spend some of my prep time just sharpening the knives that I will be using. The thing is, this can take time, and during those times where I do not have a lot of time for prepping the knives, and I go to start chopping or cutting the foods up, to find that I have a dull knife, I find that can then make it so that I can not get the specific cuts proper portion sizes or even looks that I am after when cooking. So when I was sent the 12 Piece Edgekeeper® Pro Self-Sharpening Cutlery Set from Sabatier® , to review, I was very excited to start using it and add it to my kitchen.

First off, I do have the say that the look of the block and knives alone gives you that more modern look to the kitchen. You get both the stainless steel look and the sharp black block that the knives come in that can really look great in any kitchen set up. I also like that with the 12 piece set that you get a great selection of knives that can help to bring a variety of dishes together and are designed to make the handling easier with the triple riveted handles that help to give you more balance. This 12 piece set includes an 8 inch Chef Knife, 8 inch Slicer Knife, 5 inch Chef Knife with kullens, 4-1/2 inch Fine Edge Utility Knife, 3-1/2 inch Paring Knife, (6) 4-1/2 inch Steak Knives. Which allow you to not only bring the dishes together as you prep and cook, but also use as the cutlery when you are serving items that require a good steak knife to cut with.

Then when it comes to the sharpening of the knives and the care, well I can really appreciate the time that I save since each of the knives is set in a slot that has its own sharpener built in. Making it so that each time we go to pull one of the knives out, they are sharpened as we pull them out. And once we are done using the knives, we can easily hand wash the knives and store them back in the block for the next use.
