With summer coming and the weather warming up, we find that it is the perfect time to start heading outdoors to enjoy the weather and also have fun playing outside. With that said, I also find that as a parent, I enjoy seeking out the toys that can help to keep the kids engaged while we are outdoors. So when we were sent the Whirlwind™ Air Rocket Launch Set by Estes Rockets, I knew that Heather and her kids would enjoy checking it out and also sharing their thoughts with our readers!
This rocket is easy to assemble and a ton of fun! It shoots straight up about 150 feet and slowly twirls back down. The foam cone lets it bounce so it is easy to get it and send it up again! We had a lot of fun watching this go so high, and found that this will provide hours of family fun for all ages. The best thing about it is it uses air so no batteries are required, instead uses just good old fashioned muscles. This would make a great gift for anyone of any age, but is recommended for ages 10 and up and for under 12 you will need adult supervision.
Then to get this rocket up in the air, we would pump it up and push the button to let it fly high and our 4 and 10 year olds would fetch the rocket and put it back on the launch pad. It comes apart easily for storage between uses. Just be careful not to fly too close to trees or houses so it doesn’t get stuck, and enjoy hours of high flying rocket fun while outside! Technology introduces itself to be enjoyed by almost every generation with the choices I came down to the 004606 – Proto-X™ Drone (white) for which I'd use with my Boy Scout troop. and the 004716 – Proto-X™ FPV HD Micro Quadcopter if I could have any one of my preference. Delivering the greatest of videos this would be just as memorable as the smiles gotten when (if I won) I'd let all those within the troop experience the chance to fly.
