Shrek: A 2001 release, we are introduced to Shrek as he ends up saving Princess Fiona from the tower, with Donkey’s help. An ogre, in order to regain his swamp, travels along with an annoying donkey to bring the Princess Fiona to the deranged lord who longs to be king.
Shrek 2: Shrek and Fiona have found true love and start their lives out as newly weds, only to discover that not everything is what it seems. Not everyone is happy for them and that the Fairy Godmother is not who she was thought to be.
Shrek the Third: Shrek and Fiona are comfortable as a married couple and they have been accepted as being ogres to a point. Shreks new father in law becomes sick and Shrek is looked at as being the next king if something happens to the present king. Recruiting Donkey and Puss In Boots for a new quest, Shrek sets out to bring back the rightful heir to the throne, Fiona’s rebellious cousin Artie. Back in Far, Far Away, Fiona’s jilted Prince Charming storms the city with an army of fairy tale villains to seize the throne. But they have a surprise in store because Fiona, together with her mother, Queen Lillian, has drafted her fellow fairy tale heroines to defend their “happily ever afters.” As Shrek, Donkey and Puss work on changing Artie from a royal pain in the you-know-what into a future king, Fiona and her band of princesses must stop Prince Charming to ensure there will be a kingdom left to rule.
Shrek Forever After: Shrek is feeling over-domesticated in the fourth installment. New babies, family life, she feels that he needs to regain his ogre mojo, so he strikes a deal with Rumpelstiltskin. The pact goes awry and Shrek must confront what life would be like in Far Far Away if he had never existed. That translates into Donkey being forced into cart-pulling duty, fat and lazy Puss in Boots trading his sword for a pink bow and the underhanded Rumpelstiltskin ruling the kingdom.
Donkey’s Christmas Shrektacular: A very funny holiday program that is a perfect treat for the whole family, Donkey’s Christmas Shrektacular will be available for a limited time only and features all your favorite characters as they perform classic holiday songs with Shrek-ized lyrics, as well as “Shrek’s Yule Log,” featuring over 25 uproarious character appearances in front of a crackling virtual fireplace.
