I live in the Texas Panhandle. Growing up I lived in Austin until I was 11. So I guess you can say I am a Texan. Texas is a large state and there are many points of interest here. I know that in all different parts of Texas, there is history to explore, attractions to see and places that you have to go to in order to really experience Texas. Like here in the Panhandle you have the historic Route 66. Then if you travel just south of Austin, you have beautiful San Antonio and the Alamo. I know that growing up, we spent much of our summers down in San Antonio exploring all it has to offer!! In San Antonio you can explore a piece of American history, have fun at the Zoo, Sea World and Six Flags, then in the evening have dinner and a nice evening stroll along the River Walk and see some really beautiful sites at night!! http://visitsanantonio.com/index.aspx

I live in Texas but love to get to San Antonio. Only living here for 6 years I have not seen much. Hubby is native and we live on family property. He goes no where, frustrating for someone who likes to check it all out!
