Calma by Medela (Preparing For Baby Guide)

When it comes to preparing for baby, even though I will be breastfeeding, finding great bottles that can be used when others want to feed the baby are a must have on my list! I like to be able to take a break and be able to hand off baby to be fed by others so they can also bond with baby as I do when I breastfeed. I learned that with my daughter, having a bottle that is made to go along with breastfeeding is a must have. So when I was sent he new Calma bottle from Medela, I was very interested in learning more about the product! One of the first things I noticed with this bottle is that the nipple is not like other nipples on other bottles that I have used or seen. The Calma nipple on the bottle was designed to mimic the breast, which in hand is to accommodate babies sucking pattern while breast feeding. When a baby breastfeeds they take pauses to swallow and breathe, and the way the Calma is designed, it is made so your baby can take those pauses naturally. Since this bottle is designed to slow down the feeding and make the feeding experience a more calm experience like the breast, it makes the transition from bottle to breast a easier process! There is a control valve on the nipple which allows baby to control the milk flow that they need, which also keeps this amazing bottle from leaking when baby is not feeding! Then when your baby creates that suction or vacuum, it allows the milk to flow. I can not wait to use this amazing bottle on the new baby and if you are planning on breastfeeding as well as using a bottle every now and again, then check out the Calma bottle from Medela!!

This was not a paid post and honest/original opinions were used and they are my own. Thank you to the company and/or pr agency who supplied the product for review.
