Over the holiday season, many of us tend to do a lot of cooking. Cooking for dinner parties, family gatherings and for the holiday dinners. For me, I like to have the tools that I will need to ensure that the meals I cook can go off without a hitch. To make sure this happens, I search for products that I can remember thinking in previous years, would have made the dinner that much better, and one place that I frequent for my cooking needs is BrylaneHome. Last year, we changed up the way we create our holiday menu for the family. Since my brother in law is from the Caribbean, and my parents come from different heritages, we decided to bring a little bit of everyone’s holiday traditions to the table. Having the different dishes really opened our pallets up to new flavors and introduced the kids to foods from different countries. My sister and brother in law came up with a Cou-Cou & Fish type dish that was something they might have enjoyed on the island of Barbados, adding plantains and yams as the sides to go along with the dish. We found that they were able to cook the foods without any issues, but we did not have the tools needed to assure the dish remained fresh, and a item that we had thought might make things easier for years to come when creating this dish would be a chafing dish. With a chafing dish, we can take the foods from the stove top, then put them in the trays, and keep them fresh and hot for serving. So when I was sent the 9-QT Rectangular Chafing Dish to review, I knew that this would exactly what we needed, what we were missing last year.
With the 9 Qt capacity, we will be able the entire contents of the dishes we need to put in here. There are 2 burners on the bottom, which help ensure that the food that you put in the chafing dish, stays nice and hot, and ready to serve. The steam pans help make it so the food heats up evenly, so you do not have to worry about part of it getting cold while it is sitting out with the lid on. In all we found the 9-Qt Rectangular Chafing Dish to be exactly what we will be needing this year when putting dishes out to serve!
