Holiday Guide: A Century of Progress: A Photographic Tour of the 1933-34 Chicago World's Fair

Finding those must have gifts to give over the holiday season is on the minds of many right now, and like many who are seeking those must haves, I like to take all of the interests my recipients have into consideration. This allows me to find those gifts that are unique and that my recipients are sure to find intriguing, and like many who enjoy history and photography, I find that gifting those books that offer a timeline of history in a collection of beautiful photos to be ideal. So when we were sent the hardcover copy of A Century Of Progress: A Photographic Tour of the 1933-34 Chicago World’s Fair from Agate Publishing, I was excited to check it out and add it to this years holiday guide!

In this book, we get a beautiful collection of photos that have been compiled from the Chicago Tribune’s archives. Bringing readers a rare collection of photos, some of which have never been published, that mark the timeline of the world’s fair in Chicago from 1933-1934. The photos are ones that come from a time that was during the Great Depression, where the city of Chicago was celebrating its centennial with displays, and people who came from all over to see all that the event held! Along with the photos we can read the inserts from the Tribune Reporter and historian, Ron Grossman with details on the event, the displays and more! Making the choice to add the book, A Century of Progress: A Photographic Tour of the 1933-1934 Chicago World’s Fair, a choice that any history buff and photography lover will enjoy seeing under the tree this holiday season!

Product received, thank you to Agate Publishing as well as the PR for supplying me with a product for this review, all opinions are my own.
