As a busy mom, I like to find ways to not only feed my family, but ways to take some of their favorite products and mix them up to create something new. I think one thing that myself, as well as other parents out there might face is, when it comes to breakfast, it is kinda basic, which can also be boring. Well recently I was sent a box filled with products that are all items my family enjoys eating at breakfast and for snacks as well. We were sent the following items to take on the Target Busy Family Event.
• 1 pouch Nature Valley® Protein Granola
• 1 box Nature Valley® Granola Bars
• 1 box Honey Nut Cheerios® Medley Crunch™ cereal
• 1 box Trix® cereal
• 1 package Quaker® Oats
• 1 jar Jif® peanut butter
• 1 package Nutella® mini cups
• 1 pouch Grandma Hoerner’s® Big Slice™ apples snack
With keeping my kids in mind, and looking over the products, I found that one great thing we could do using the Nature Valley Granola Bars and the Jif Peanut Butter, along with some fresh bananas, I could make some PB and Banana Granola Toppers! These are not only a great way to put a twist on the granola bars my kids enjoy in the mornings for breakfast, but these PB and Banana Granola Toppers are both healthy and filling, making them a great way to start the day!
For a great and quick morning snack for me and Wyatt, I found that putting some of the Grandma Hoerner’s Big Slice Apples pouch in a bowl with the Nature Valley Protein Granola sprinkled on top, was not only satisfying but it is also filling!
Then for a afternoon snack that the kids can make and enjoy, I found that taking any of their favorite cereals and making snack balls out of them using the Nutella mini cups to bind with, made for a fun and tasty treat! We used the Trix Cereal that we were sent, but we found that we can use just about any of the kids cereals to make these cereal balls with!
With all of the products we were sent, I found there were many combinations and recipes I could try out with my family, which has opened the door for changing up those basic breakfast products in our home! You can find ways to mix it up in your home as well by heading to your local Target and finding inspiration for your own Target Busy Families Event!
