#Listerine #Spon Our 21 Day Challenge

When it comes to my family, their health is my priority. One way I can keep on top of my families health is by ensuring they take care of their oral hygiene. This past month, my family and I were given a challenge to take on, one that has changed our oral health routines, and in a very good way! We were given the tools to take on the Listerine 21 Day Challenge. I liked that this was a challenge that myself, my husband, and our two older kids could take on.

Before taking on this challenge, we had a oral care routine, and we took care of our mouths together, by brushing together. We got up in the mornings and after breakfast, we would head to the bathroom to get ready, by first brushing our teeth. My husband and I would then use our Listerine Mouthwash, not thinking that the kids could do the same with their own mouthwash. Aside from our morning routine, we also had a afternoon routine, brushing after school or after lunch if the kids were home, and a night time routine, where we would brush teeth before heading to bed for the night. This was a norm for us, until last month, when we took on the challenge.

During the first week, we had to remind the kids to use the Kids Listerine Mouthwash after brushing, and for us, we not only added the mouthwash to our other brushing time routines along with the kids, but we also all added flossing to our oral care routines. My husband and I also used the Listerine Toothpaste during this past month so we could get the full effect of the Listerine oral care products in our home. Within just a few days, we noticed that our mouths felt fresher than they did before, since we were using the mouthwash 3 times a day instead of 1. We also noticed that when we used the floss and mouthwash after brushing, there was a lot that we had missed from brushing alone. The kids enjoyed using the mouthwash as well, and adding it to their own brushing routines.

Once we got into the pattern of using the mouthwash and floss with each brush, we have not only noticed a difference in our breath, but we noticed a difference in our smiles. I like knowing that we all have healthier smiles, and I also like knowing that the new routine that we took on has now become the normal routine in my home. So if you want to improve your families smiles and create a healthier oral care routine, take on your own 21 day challenge and smell, see, and feel the differenceAlso as you begin taking on your own challenge, be sure to share photos of your own “Swish Selfies” on the Listerine Facebook page, where you can enter to win one of their weekly $500 prizes as well as help kids in need! With each “Swish Selfie” that is posted, on the Listerine’s Brand Facebook page, they will make a $5.00 contribution to Oral Health America’s Smiles Across America program, up to $85,000, toward their goal of connecting 210,000 children with needed oral health services in 2014! So get swishing!!!

That's a great challenge to get the whole family involved. I did not know that listerine made a little kids mouthwash too! it is good to get in the habit of flossing and the mouthwash too so we may start this challenge as well!
