When it comes to the summer travel, as a parent, I want to ensure that our travels are safe and that we have them planned out. I like to have a plan put in place, on where we will make stops, so that friends and family know where we will be and around what time we should be getting to the certain destinations. This includes those potty stops, stops to grab a bite to eat, and the stops when we fuel up.
For me, and especially for my husband, when we put these stops in our itinerary, we like to make them all together, so we are not taking frequent stops. So as we plan a road trip, we take out the maps, then we also look for places that we are familiar with, and that offer all of the amenities we need in one place. One such place that we mark on our maps and add to our travel itinerary are the travel centers like the Pilot and Flying J!
I like that when we put the Pilot and Flying J travel centers into our itinerary, I feel at ease knowing that we can cut those stops down quite a bit, since we can find those family friendly amenities all in one place, which include the family restrooms, restaurants, snacks, coffee and even gas.
When we add the Pilot and Flying J travel centers in our plans, I know that if I need that next cup of coffee or if I need to get out and stretch my legs, I can, and instead of listening to that, “I’m hungry”, or “I have to go potty”, and take random stops with my family, I can know where that next stop will be, as well as inform the rest of the vehicle so we are all on the same page, if that is at all possible when traveling with kids, lol. Making the Pilot and Flying J Travel Centers, our go to stops when we plan those summer road trips!

I Iove their hot chocolate. I live in a small town and this is one of the few gas stations we have.

I have always liked Pilot stores. They have a great variety of items that are available at good prices. I feel like they provide travelers with many things.
They literally have everything and is so convenient for travelers. They have showers, hot food, snacks, rest area and more!

The gas tends to be cheaper at my local Pilot/Flying J. And they have a Denny's attached with a variety of other travel items one may need!

Flying J has really good pizza! When we are travelling I'd rather stop at Flying J than a rest stop.
You can get so many things there. If you need car parts they might have them, seriously mainly for truckers but they have them.
They're a favorite stop on any road trip! They have EVERYTHING and always have clean restrooms!
