Busy Toddler Breakfasts with Go & Grow by Similac® Food Mix-Ins™ + Fun Toddler Matching Game

The kids are out of school and the summer is upon us. Like many, when it comes to my toddler as well as older kids, I find that their little minds are amazing. They are constantly going and learning along the way, and with the summer upon us I seek out activities as well as foods to help make our days that much better. For my little guy, he is one who loves his breakfasts, from having some yogurt and granola, to a bowl of fresh fruit. So when we were introduced to the new Go & Grow by Similac® Mix-Ins™ . I was excited to check them out and add them to some of our favorite summer foods!

Being that my little guy loves yogurt and fresh fruits, I decided to make a great yogurt mix for him using the Go & Grow by Similac® Mix-Ins™. I chose to create a Go & Grow by Similac® Mix-Ins™ banana and berry delicious toddler summer mix yogurt topped with granola. To get started with this toddler approved and toddler friendly breakfast, I headed to my local Walmart where I was able to pick up both the Go & Grow by Similac® Mix-Ins™ to use for the yogurt recipe and some Go & Grow by Similac® Milk-Based Powder to use in drinks for my toddler as well. I was pleased to find both of these products in the formula section of my local Walmart.  

For the Go & Grow by Similac® Mix-Ins™ berry delicious toddler summer yogurt mix:

Go & Grow by Similac® Mix-Ins™ ( 1 packet )

1/4  banana

1/4 cup fresh mixed berries

1/2 cup plain yogurt  *Use one packet of Go & Grow by Similac® Mix-Ins™ for one serving (or ½ cup of food)

1 tbsp granola (can use rolled oats )

Add yogurt, 1 packet of Go & Grow by Similac® Mix-Ins™, and fruit to blender then blend until fruit is chopped and mixed well in yogurt. Put in bowl then top with your choice of granola or rolled oats and serve!

We found the Go & Grow by Similac® Mix-Ins™ berry delicious toddler summer yogurt mix to not only be a great way to start our days, but also a great way for me to add extra nutrition to my little guy’s foods. I also like that both the Go & Grow by Similac® Mix-Ins™ and the Go & Grow by Similac® Milk-Based Powder are great for having on hand when you have a toddler age 1+ in the house. Allowing parents and caregivers to give little ones that extra nutrition as they run and play and enjoy their summers.

Confident that my toddler is getting quality nutrients with Go & Grow by Similac® Mix Ins™, and Go & Grow by Similac® Milk-Based Powder, I have been focusing on another aspect of his growth; his mental development. We keep him active with fun games like Game of Color and Letter Match Up for Toddlers.

To get started print off alphabet printable below and color wheel (set to a 5×7 and shrink to fit in printer settings for color wheel) Cut out the letters – Get a piece of cardboard and cut out to make a spinner board for color wheel to fit on. Cut out the color wheel – glue color wheel the to cardboard and cut out a arrow to fit on board, get a brad – push the brad through the back of the board and arrow to fit in middle of board then turn the board back over. Place the arrow on top of the color wheel that is glued to the cardboard and push the brad through then fasten on back of board.

How To Play: Get crayons to match colors on wheel. Set out letters in no specific order on table or floor with letters facing up. First player spins wheel, player then picks the crayon that matches that color. Player must then choose the correct letter starting with A and ending the game with Z. If player chooses correct letter they color the letter then collect it in pile, if the player chooses incorrect letter then it is the next players turn, one with most letters at end wins!
