6th Street Massacre Review

Halloween is coming and just like any city, there are haunted houses to go to. I am a big chicken when it comes to scary things and especially scary places, so when invited to go to the 6th Street Massacre Haunted House in Amarillo Texas, I made sure my husband went with me. When we drove up I could feel my knees getting week. Outside the haunted house there was a hearse with a casket inside of it. Then when you look at the outside decor they have a grim reaper painted on the wall as well as some creepy little creatures on the roof that look at you. They have a window that is a display window so you can kinda get a little view of what is to come. There is a dead nun in a casket in that display. Then as you get to the doorway, there is a tv with videos of bone chilling horrific scenes and clips that are just enough to get my heart racing. With all of these store front teasers you walk into the lobby and there are scary pictures, displays and the worst of all, some yucky creepy crawly roaches. And these arent your everyday house roaches either. These are live, big, hairy, moving roaches. And to complete the introduction into the scariest haunted house I have been in, the lobby is lit up with black lights, so everyone and everything around you glows. I have only been in a few haunted houses for the fact that I usually chicken out, but for the fact that I was going to have to do a review, there was no turning back. I had to go through with it. Personally I was good with making it through the lobby, but I know my husband would not allow me to get off that easy. I had to suck it up and go through with it. From the great effects to the amazing actors, this was the scariest and best haunted house I have ever been to. The crew that put this together put a whole lot of thought and time into this, from the details of each turn and the attention that was put into the costumes and set, made for an exciting, heart pounding, haunted adventure through the 6th Street Massacre Haunted House in Amarillo Texas. If you are in Amarillo or will be traveling through or to Amarillo this Halloween season or even next year, you will need to make a stop on the Historic Route 66 district and go through the 6th Street Massacre Haunted House. Also if you would like to watch some people getting scared, you can watch them on the live cam at youcantscareme.com!

They dont allow pictures to be taken, but because I was reviewing the haunted house, I was allowed to take a picture of my favorite character after joining him for tea!!

That sounded like a lot of fun! Right up my alley! We used to have something similar but they shut down due to the economic downturn. Thanks for sharing. I'm a new follower. Take care.Anne-Marie

WOW, all the people at this Haunted House (6 Street Massacre) spends a lot of time attacking other people and other haunted houses instead of making their haunted house great.I have been to all the Haunted Houses in Amarillo every year and Terror on 10th is the BEST one around. BEWARE of the owner Michael Fisher and his lot of goons! They use shady business practices and are only in it to take your money….

No, I dont get paid to review the Haunted Houses, I do get a private tour and they only allowed pics to be taken in certain areas, that way they dont give away all of the hidden secrets!!! It is a lot of fun, since I am a chicken!

Jeff Johnson mentions that 6SM "only in it to take your money"…. what else do businesses want from the consumer? Walmart only wants to take my money…. DUH!
