When it comes to meals and seeking the places to dine at which offer family friendly menus and atmospheres, I am one who likes to seek out new ones all of the time. This allows us to have a list of places to go out to when we have our family night outs, giving us options on both the menus and places to go to. Like many kids, mine love burgers and fries, which is great and all but for my husband and I, we like to have those burgers and fries that are packed with flavor and some of our favorite toppings. So when we heard about the Lunchbox Laboratory in Gig Harbor, with their selection of burger experiments, and their special each Wednesday night where kids can eat free, we were excited to check it out and add it to our list of family dining favorites!
Upon arrival, we were not only greeted by friendly staff, but the kids found the fun lunchboxes added in with the decor and even the opportunity for a themed selfie to be very inviting. From there, we found the kids menu to offer a great selection of not just burgers but other choices that the kids were pleased to see on the menu. After the kids had a chance to look over their menu and begin coloring it, my husband and I were able to look over the very impressive menu available. Which included appetizers like the sweet and spicy fried pickles along with the Gavacho’s Totchos that comes with a dipping sauce that has a kick to it. Along with the appetizers that everyone was able to enjoy, my husband and I found the selection of Burger Experiments and Build Your Own Burger options to be exactly what we were looking for. Giving us a great selection of a variety of burgers which included the James West, packed with flavor from the rub used and sauce it is topped off with and the build your own burger selection where we were not only able to create our own unique burger but add grilled cheese sandwich buns in place of the hamburger buns!
Then when it came to the sides and even the shakes we could add to our meal, we found the handcrafted salts to be great for adding to the fries and the Hand-Spun All Natural Shakes to be a great end to an amazing burger. Which aside from the meal options, fit right in with the various drink experiments and more that you can find when you make it a date with your family and head to the Lunchbox Laboratory!
