Wonster Words: ABC Phonics & Spelling

When it comes to my kids and finding those apps that they enjoy playing, I find that I like to seek out the ones that offer educational aspects to them that are also fun. Along with the educational fun, I also seek out the apps that are geared towards the various ages of kids in my home. So when we were introduced to the Wonster Words App, I was excited to check it out and share it with my preschooler.

After downloading the app, my son was ready to begin, and go on to start taking on the various tasks with each of the mini-games that are on this app.

With the different mini games, I found that they are great for helping with spelling by using phonics. The games do this by offering spelling games, where the kids have to fill in the letters with the correct letters, listen to the sounds each letter makes, and also listen as the words are pronounced when they come together. Along with the spelling and the sounding out of letters and words, I like that the kids can then learn the meanings of the words and listen as the words are used in sentences and phrases in the games.

Each of the games on the app offer fun characters that my preschooler can enjoy following along with and completing the missions with. I also like as we go through the missions available with each of the words that he is awarded with gifts that are needed in order to complete the missions at hand, such as the Space Adventure that we started out with.

Then when it comes to what kids can take away from the Wonster Words App, I like that along with learning on the app, that the kids take those words that they learn and use them outside of the app. Allowing them to not only learn the spelling but also the correct ways of using the words in their everyday lives. Making Wonster Words App a great app that is great for not only teaching your kids through phonics but also a app that makes the learning fun!
