Holiday Cooking with the Oster Pro 1200 Plus Food Processor

The month of October is nearly over and with November coming, I find that it is time to seek out the tools for the kitchen to help bring those fall and holiday meals together. For me, when it comes to the colder weather, I not only enjoy the warm and hot foods and beverages, but I still enjoy having things like those fresh morning smoothies. I also enjoy making fresh sauces, salsa, and soups, and when it comes to all of these things, I like to make sure that we have the tools needed in the kitchen so that I can create these menu items as well as so much more. So when I was sent the Oster Pro 1200 Plus Food Processor to review, I was excited to add it to my selection of kitchen appliances and also add it to my list of great gifts to give this coming holiday season.

When my Oster Pro 1200 Plus Food Processor arrived, I found that it was perfect for opening up the options when it comes to my menu planning for not only day to day meals but also for the holidays. Being that we enjoy our morning smoothies, I was excited to put the blender part to work to make some delicious kiwi banana smoothies!

I found that after adding the ingredients for our smoothies that I was able to then choose one of the 3 pre-programmed settings, then sit back and wait a few short minutes for my smoothies to be ready. Once the blender had completed, I was very pleasantly surprised to find a evenly smooth consistency in the smoothies, which is what I look for when I am making smoothies for myself and my family. I found that this is possible with the 3.5″ blade system that allows the ingredients to flow downward into the blade as the blender is going. This feature then allows us to get a faster and smoother result each time we use our Oster!

Along with the ease of making perfect smoothies every time that I use the Oster Pro 1200 Plus Food Processor, I also like that there are 7 speeds that I can choose from and I can also use one of the 3 preset settings, which is what I used for making smoothies. I found the look to be a great one for having in the kitchen as well, giving me a sleek design that goes great in just about every kitchen.

With the power that I get, I like that there is 1200 watts of power along with 900 watts of power when crushing ice and such. The metal to metal connection allows us to blend up to 100,000 smoothies!
