When it comes to the expecting parents, a lot has changed over the years. We find that the dads are more involved in the preparations and such than they were 65 years ago. I mean, more times than not when you hear of a family expecting a new baby, people say that “We are expecting” instead of the mom being the only one who is expecting a baby. Well aside from the fact that the view on expecting parents has changed from it just being a woman’s role to having a openly shared anticipation with the fathers, we also see that ads geared at parents in waiting have changed as well. So when we were asked to help celebrate Baby Magic’s 65th Anniversary by sharing some of their old advertisements of, “For Every Lady in Waiting”, with our own twist on the ads and going with the collection “Dads in the Making“ads, we were excited to participate!
We found that just like it was 65 years ago when the ads, “For Every Lady in Waiting”, were released, that the Baby Magic products were suggested as a must have for expecting parents to have when baby arrives. The ads that were around in the 50’s and 60’s were ones that were geared at featuring maternity wear that real expectant mothers wore, which at the time was considered a little risky to show photos of pregnant women. And after looking over some of the ads that were around 65 years ago, we found that recreating the “For Every Lady in Waiting” ad was a fun way to change things up. For our recreation of the, “For Every Lady in Waiting”, ad that we found, we had my husband do a similar pose, with the gaze of anticipation in his eyes that dads get when they are daydreaming and waiting for the big day to come.
Then when it comes to the Baby Magic products that new and expecting parents enjoy using and trust, I can appreciate that the baby care products are hypoallergenic, tear-free, and paraben-free, and continue to be the baby care product that has been loved by generations! Which in all makes the Baby Magic products a line up a great choice to go with when you are preparing for baby, and a line that has been recommended to expecting parents for 65 years!!! And to help with celebrating 65 years with Baby Magic, the wonderful people from Baby Magic would like to give one of my amazing readers a full size Baby Magic Original Hair & Body Wash, one full size Baby Magic Original Baby Lotion, and a $25 Visa gift card to purchase additional Baby Magic Products!

I learned this after visiting the site; 60-some years ago, Baby Magic debuted a revolutionary ad campaign, “For Every Lady In Waiting.” Featuring designer maternity wear and actual expectant mothers, today it’s remembered for both its sense of style and its courageous realism (in the 50’s, imagery of pregnant women was still very much not done).
